Authenticity & AI Policy
How we make sure the artwork you pay for is created by the artist you hired.
When you commission work through ineedartists.com, you are paying for a person's time, skill and interpretation. This policy exists so you get what you paid for.
It covers our approach to generative AI, what is and isn't permitted on the platform, and what happens when the rules aren't followed.
Our Stance
We believe that art commissioned through our platform should be created by humans. The connection between a client and artist, the unique interpretation of a vision, and the skill developed through years of practice are what make commissioned art special.
Generative AI art tools fundamentally change this relationship. While these tools may have their place in other contexts, they are not appropriate for fulfilling personalized commissions where clients are paying for human creativity and skill.
We recognize that the line between AI-assisted and AI-generated can sometimes be blurry. Our policy errs on the side of protecting the integrity of human-made art while allowing for reasonable use of technology that has existed before the generative AI era.
Prohibited Activities
Permitted Use
Note: When using any AI-assisted tools, transparency with clients is expected. If a client asks about your process, be honest.
